Approachable Analytics for all Professions
Modular Approach to Analytics
Modular Thought is a start-up dedicated to making the power of artificial intelligence accessible to professionals across all disciplines. Just as spreadsheets once opened the door to data analysis for anyone with a problem to solve, we are creating the modern equivalent for AI. Our tools enable experts in any field to apply advanced machine learning and analytic techniques to their existing workflows.
We're also bringing advanced AI analytic capabilities under your control. Most AI platforms depend on remote cloud services, creating uncertainty about how your data is stored and used. This comes with broad, changeable terms of service from large companies whose models for profiting from access to your work are often obscure. Our product avoids these risks by keeping your data within your own network.
Private
Work entirely disconnected from the internet, inside your office, so you know that your data never leaves your possession. This enables you to meet any level of security that your business, customers, or partners require.
Efficient
Run on power-efficient, lower cost hardware. No need for a new power circuit or a dedicated AC cooling system. Our compute nodes target 150W under load and fully-functional systems under 300W are possible.
Scalable
Scale up indefinitely alongside existing infrastructure to meet your usage needs. When your usage grows, Modular Thought can go into your existing data closet or data center. It can even be deployed in public or private clouds if that meets your needs.
Secure
Accessed privately over your local network or your VPN, Our product is intended to fit into your existing network and be subject to your existing IT security controls.
Flexible
With a browser based user interface, there is no need to install additional software on each client and users aren't limited by the power of their workstations.
Adaptable
Adapt to new needs and new technologies. Modular Thought is built from the ground up as a framework to access multiple different tools and technologies. It is not tied to one particular analytic technique, AI model, or company's range of products.
Powerful Analytic Technology
The core of Modular Thought is a user-friendly front end application which guides the user and allows access to a list of back-end modules that do all of the work. The back-end modules are prepared implementations of a range of powerful data analysis functions.
AI-Enhanced Search
A powerful text and document search function that uses the same language encoding and analysis techniques found in LLMs to search large sets of documents for topics, concepts, and ideas. Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) ability to represent context and meaning in its search makes it vastly more powerful than traditional word or phrase searches.
Topic Modeling
Analyze large numbers of documents, emails, text conversations, etc. using Latent Dirchlet Allocation (LDA) to determine what common topics are discussed within them. This can be used to produce summaries of those topics or trace which individual topics appear most relevant to each document.
Named Entity Extraction
Identifies named entities within a document, e.g. "John Smith" is a person, "OpenAI" is an organization, "San Francisco" is a location. This can be useful for building knowledge graphs or can simply assist other tools, including LLMs, in making sense of what they're reading.
Data Agents
Intelligently extract specific points of data from multiple documents and put them into a consistent output format, such as a spreadsheet. Example: a financial analyst has 37 quarterly reports from a company she is investigating, but they're not all in exactly the same format. The Data Agent can perform the time-consuming task of finding and extracting common data points, such as revenues, debts, interest payments, etc. It can then organize the data into a single spreadsheet for easy conversion to charts and graphs or for further analysis.
Knowledge Graphs
An advanced organizational and analytical tool used to understand the interconnections, dependencies, workflows, and structures of anything from advanced physics to a fortune 500 company. Google famously uses Knowledge graphs as the backbone of its search engine for finding relevance relationships between one topic and another. This tool can be just as powerful when applied to your own private data.
Custom Analytics
Add custom analytic capabilities that fit your specific business needs.
